ABOUT OUR TRIP
Why?
Finding a marker for achieving sixty years of age/a return to the City of Light after forty years/enjoying the essence of the most romantic city in the world with my true love.
Where?
We will fly into London, head north to see my brother in the Lake District, then return to London to visit with my friends Jonathan and Cynthia and Spencer. We plan to visit the marketplaces of my youth in the East End, watch the Chelsea vs Basel Europa cup game at Stamford Bridge, and take-in the spectacular view from the top of the Shard. Then we will take the Chunnel to Paris. Nine days exploring Paris from our apartment on the Ile St. Louis on the Seine: The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, the Marais, Latin Quarter, Montmatre, patisseries, bistros, Versailles, Notre Dame (say it with a French accent, will ya?), rude waiters, beautiful people, river cruise, St. Chappelle, and more.
